Top 5 Legendaries from Commander 2019

Before we begin, let me notify you that this list will only consider legendary creatures that are not the pre-con commanders.

#5: Atla Palani, Nest Tender

Atla Palani's triggered ability has some randomness in it, but in the right build it seems like it would be pretty good. It also disincentives players from attacking you since they don't want eggs dying. However, it has to wait one turn before making an egg and if Atla Palani is not on the battlefield, the eggs just become bad blockers.

#4: Chainer, Nightmare Adept

Chainer lets you cast creatures from your graveyard, which is quite good. It also gives them haste, meaning that you can discard a powerful creature and attack with it, surprising your opponent. Overall, it seems pretty good but there are better legendary creatures in Commander 2019.

#3: Elsha of the Infinite

Elsha gives you a lot of unpredictability since it lets you flash out your noncreature spells, making it similar to a Vedalken Orrery. It has a lot of potential and may see play as a Control commander or Storm. Overall, this card seems pretty broken.

#2: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

K'rrik is insane since it lets you pay life instead of mana for . It makes it so that you can pay two life instead of paying black, and this effect works in any costs including activated abilities. It also has lifelink so you can gain back some life and grows whenever you cast a black spell.

#1: Greven, Predator Captain

Greven lets you sacrifice creatures to draw cards, but combined with cards that make you lose life quickly, it grows very fast. It turns what was supposed to be a disadvantage into a huge advantage. Combined with powerful pay-life effects such as Tainted Strike, Fire Covenant, Hatred, or Treasonous Ogre, it can immediately win the game. It also has menace so it requires two or more blockers.

Thanks for Reading.

For the record, Tainted Strike does not make you lose life.
